HELP IN ANYWAY—

This is a repost from Sana’s blog.. I know Queenie personally because she is my sister‘s friend. What they went through is not fair. I am reposting this in the hope that some US readers of this post can help them, in anyway…

The incident happened a long time ago— May 25, 2006 but until now, the Velasco family still needs help to clear out their names. Right now they can’t find decent jobs because of the case they were NEVER convicted with prior to the pediatrician’s findings. Allan and Queenie Velasco were arrested and charged with child neglect for not seeking immediate attention for their child’s minor injury. Queenie was arrested at the hospital where they took Carmela, their child, and Allan was dragged out of their Jersey City home with the full view of the neighbors – dragged out and cuffed without a chance to wear shoes or jacket, and wasn’t given a chance to get his cellphone or wallet.

Here’s pictures of Mela way before the incident:

The family wants to thank the following people:

Lynn Kressel, Jud Taylor, CAHN Family, and Lenovitz family for helping them all throughout the case and for Allan’s new job.

website payment processing

With the surging economic stresses or should I say, financial crisis nicknamed as “recession”, I cannot help but wonder how a single mom could survive so much financial challenges. There’s the rent, the grocery which is mostly for my daughter’s, there’s the monthly tuition and all other expenses. Ugh! Am I complaining? Nope, not exactly. But I am contemplating as to what else I could add to my long list of “sidelines”. A mom’s got to do what she has to do— But what should I do? That remains to be a question yet. Nevertheless, do not judge me as weak, or that I lack initiative. Actually, I can think of so much ways to generate more income. But I only have one body you see…

So I was thinking of building myself an online shop, since I am mostly online anyway. I have so much ideas as to the products that I could sell online. My problem is the website credit card payment processing. I need to know where I could get help when it comes to this as I am no expert. Yes, there’s paypal but it is also different if I have the direct card payment transactions. I mean, let’s face it, not everyone has a paypal account. But most of those who go online to shop use credit or debit cards… I think opening an online shop will really help a lot. I asked my friends about my problem and they pointed me to www.braintreepaymentsolutions.com— My friend Annie says they have a very good system. So after this blogpost, I am going to check them out. Will post about my findings later… Ciao.

AC ADAPTOR SEARCH

Are you looking for an ac adaptor? My sister informed me the other day that she is in need of an AC adaptor for her laptop but she does not know where to get one. I asked my friends and they told me to look into ebay. I checked ebay but could not find any. So I searched google instead. Google was kind enough to show me a few links here and there… Only other links seem fishy in their information… Until I came across www.amadvance.com where I found lots of choices. I was so amazed because they not only have adaptors but so many other things that are useful and handy…

ac-adapter-body-top

I love the fact that the site is easy to manage and that, if you wish to buy something, you can even use paypal as your method of payment. Immediately I looked for what my sister needed and found so many choices from there. I am still waiting for my sister to come here to see them for herself so we can make the purchase…

Anyway, if you are also interested, I suggest that you visit the site also. I am sure you will not be disappointed. Whether its laptop, cellphone or any other accessories, you will surely find it all there—-

See you there…

Public Relations

Tonya was very cheerful despite being mocked and cursed by an irate customer. Well, that is her job as a customer service agent. I used to work in that same environment. I found it rather stressful and demanding. I got sick most of the time. But to be fair about it, it is a very difficult job for me because I am a mom who wants to spend more time with her daughter. I worked the night shift you see.. But really, I salute all contact center or customer service agents who are doing their jobs well… As front liners of every company, customer service agents are also the same as public relations agents in most large scale organizations. But other companies or organizations hire another company for that job. Kinda like the San Diego public relations Services which include Public Relations, Media Relations, Community Relations, Cause Marketing, Promotions, Event Management, Talent Management and Online Marketing. But some rather small companies do it themselves. Extra work for less budget amongst their workers. If you ask me, I would rather a stable company like San Diego Public Relations Services for a job that will surely be done right! This is not to discount the employees of some companies, but if you want a sure shot on the task, simply hire the best in the market… I am sure most of you would agree. Right?
