Cooking with Lemongrass

We have 3 separate Lemon grass bushes growing at the Orange House. I love how useful this plant is. Both for cooking and killing mosquitoes. We usually use Lemon grass when we make fish soup or if we will broil fish. It is often tied into a knot and placed inside the belly of the fish or placed in the soup while cooking.

I have tried two recipes using only Lemon grass and nothing else, in terms of herbs or vegetables. Of course there’s the usual sauces and stuff, but lemon grass was turned into a star at the specific recipe. Like the Pork Lemon grass I made a month back, which is the lemon grass version of the dry adobo. And two days ago, I did the Lemon grass Pork Stew.

It was really good.. Yummy! These days, I am looking for other ways I can cook with Lemon grass.. I just love how they smell..

  1. I love the hint of lemongrass on my Chicken Inasal. I also love how it gives flavor to my fish tinola.
